Decoded Chat ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.
1. What We Collect
We collect minimal data necessary to provide our service:
- Chat files you upload: Processed temporarily for analysis, then immediately deleted. We do not store your conversations.
- Anonymous usage data: App launches, feature usage, crash reports — no personal identifiers.
- Purchase information: Managed by Apple (App Store) and RevenueCat. We do not see your payment details.
2. How We Process Your Chats
- All names in your conversations are anonymized (replaced with "Person A" / "Person B") before any AI analysis.
- Chat content is sent to our AI providers (Anthropic Claude / OpenAI) solely for generating your analysis report.
- Messages are processed in real-time and not stored on our servers or by our AI providers after processing.
- We never read, review, or access your conversations manually.
3. Data Storage
- Analysis results are stored locally on your device only.
- We do not maintain user accounts or cloud storage of your data.
- Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.

Decoded Chat is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with AI providers as described above, solely for generating your analysis.
7. Your Rights
Since we don't store your data on our servers, there is nothing to delete or export. All data remains on your device under your control.
8. Security
All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption. Chat content is anonymized before processing. No conversations are persisted beyond the analysis session.

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be posted here with an updated date.
